The Chicago Casual Traveler: Kenosha Public Museum, Kenosha, WI (Kenosha County)

Destination of the Day: Kenosha Public Museum, Kenosha, WI (Kenosha County)
One of three museums in the Kenosha system this small but professionally designed museum is great for a day trip to this northern suburb. Current exhibits include “At the Edge of the Ice: Mammoths, Mastodons & More” and “Islamic Cultural Display”. During warmer months you can explore this slightly worn city’s downtown and take advantage of the Lake Michigan beach. For streetcar buffs the public transportation system runs restored cars from the METRA station to the public museum year round.
