ARLINGTON HEIGHTS – GayCo is back in the northwest burbs with their over-the-(muffin)-top sketch comedy revue for the LGBT-etc community, featuring a mix of the funniest scenes from their 20 year history and providing you all the love and laughs you can handle.
On Friday, March 31st at 7:30pm, GayCo treks out to Arlington Heights after their sold-out smash-hit winter revue, Cntl+Alt-Right+Delete to celebrate any LGBT right we’ve managed to attain in the last 4 years before they put it down, flip it and reverse it. (Ti esrever dna ti plif nwod tit up…) by performing in “Love is Love is Love Handles” at the Metropolis Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $25 and seats are assigned, so it’s recommended they be purchased in advance.
Their surburban romp includes scenes, songs, and dance, and probably a lesbian break-up scene or two. From the not-so-sane lengths we go for love, a world where being straight means you’re the odd one out, to a nana whose rigor mortis is a little more active than most dead folk’s – GayCo finds ways to cope in this new world and it might just involve a little synchronized swimming.
GayCo Productions is a homosensible, bi-larious LGBTQ theatre ensemble that was formed out of the famed Second City in 1996 and has been bringing it’s subversive, no-holds-barred comedic voice to audiences around the country and the world ever since.
“Love is Love is Love Handles” stars Kathy Betts, Casey Coppess, Lanny Fox, Holly Lambert, Christopher Thies Lotito, Riley Mondragon, Katie Perry, and Robin Trevino.
