CHICAGO — While there is no Bear Pride this year, the bear community does have options along with International Mr. Leather. The first Chicago Bearfest starts on Thursday, May 25.
People can start off the furry weekend at the Launch Party, held at Touche in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood. There will be a DJ and IML attendees can make their way up with the Northside Leather Express bus running between the Congress Hotel and the leather corner at Clark and Devon. Bearfest events will be going on the rest of the weekend, including the Mr. Chicago Bear and Cub contest on Saturday night.
