MTUG’s Got Talent on Sept. 19

ST. LOUIS — The Metro Trans Umbrella Group will be hosting a series of talent shows through November. And they need people to get on stage.

Join Metro Trans Umbrella Group for a 3 NIGHT SPECIAL EVENT (Sept 19th, October 17th, and November 21st) at The Monocle for “MTUG’s GOT TALENT!” MTUG will be holding a TALENT SHOW, with the winner each month to be awarded a spot on MTUG’s LIVE TELETHON coming up on December 8th!

Special guest judges for the evening will be Christine Elbert and Helena Handbag! Your host with the most will be Alex Johnmeyer!

This event is 18+, and FREE to the public! NO COVER! Minors will be carded however, so please remember to bring your ids.

So come on out, and show us what you’ve got! We’d love to see anything you want to bring to the stage of The Monocle: singers, musicians, dancers, drag performances, acrobats, burlesque, belly dancing, hoop, juggling, stand up comedy, poetry reading, storytelling, sketch comedy, or maybe you’ve got an unusual talent! We can’t wait to see what LGBTQIA+ St Louis has to share!


1. Each performer gets roughly 5 minutes to perform. Performers will sign up in person the night of the event, at The Monocle. The schedule will be in the order in which performers sign up.

2. All performers get to keep their own tips.

3. Performers may arrive at The Monocle at 6 pm to use the Green Room to get dressed. The Green Room is downstairs to the left of the stage.

4. All performers must be present and stage ready by 7:45. Show starts at 8pm.

5. All music must be a mp3 on a thumb drive, given to the dj in person by 7 pm. No exceptions. No youtube links allowed.

6. If your act requires music or any kind of sound or technical assistance, please arrive by 7 pm to have this sorted out.
