CARBONDALE — The LGBTQ Resource Center at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale hosted a Gender Expression Fair this past Tuesday.

The fair was a chance for students to explore different gender expressions and exchange lightly used clothing. Students could try new styles without spending too much money and get tutorials in using make up and chest binding.

Vernon Cooper, coordinator of the resource center, told the Daily Egyptian that they hoped to make the fair an annual event.

Other organizations sponsoring the fair included the Women’s Resource Center, Hispanic/Latino Resource Center and the Sustainability Office.
