BUFFALO GROVE — The Pinta Pride Project is hosting a screening of ‘Trans’ at the Alcott Center in Buffalo Grove on Feb. 24.

ABOUT THE MOVIE:
“This amazing and lovingly crafted documentary looks at the broad range of issues regarding being transgender, as well as the many variations of transgender people there are. There are interviews with people of various ages, male and female, gay and straight, transitioning, and not transitioning, as well as family and friends all bringing a variety of personal perspectives to light. The movie reveals the beauty of finally being yourself, as well as the harder, darker sides of being Trans: uncertainty about ones self, figuring out whether or not to transition, depression and suicide. In the end, it is uplifting and sad, beautiful and ugly, heartwarming and chilling, but always usefully informative. It is reality… shown in a way that all teens and adults can appreciate.”
