Central Illinois Friends Mardi Gras 2019 a success

PEORIA — Central Illinois Friends of PWAs had their annual Mardi Gras party this past weekend at the Warehouse in Peoria.

Funds raised at the event go to the services Central Friends offer to people living with HIV in 15 Central Illinois counties. Central Illinois Friends executive director Deric Tucker Kimler said that they were still counting the money, but it looked like they raised more than $10,000 after expenses. The event also set a new record for attendance with 215 tickets sold.
