CHICAGO — The Chicago chapter of the Human Rights Campaign will have a volunteer open house on Tuesday, April 16.
From the Facebook event:
Please join us for a Volunteer Open House on Tuesday, April 16th. Members of the Chicago Steering Committee and HRC staff will be on hand to discuss upcoming volunteer activities and leadership opportunities for those looking to step up their commitment to HRC.
Whether you are a new volunteer, a seasoned supporter, or looking for new ways to re-engage and advance our mission in Chicago, this event has a space for you. Volunteers like you restored a pro-Equality majority to the House, but there is still much work to be done. In the ongoing fight for full LGBTQ equality, we have our eyes on 2020 — knowing the wind is now at our back. We cannot afford to lose our momentum! There is still much work to be done and we count on the support of volunteers like you to propel us forward — into 2020 and beyond!
We will be serving light refreshments. We look forward to seeing you there.
The event starts at 6 p.m. at the Catina Laredo at 508 N. State St. in Chicago.by
