Aurora Pride announces Pride speaker series

AURORA — The Aurora Pride Festival has announced the speakers for a speakers series on Saturday, June 8.

The festival announced the line up on its Facebook page.

2-4 PM – Teen Writers and Artist Project (T-WAAP) at Aurora’s famed Riverfront Playhouse. Hip Hop, poetry, spoken word, storytelling. Free admission and open to the public.

Location: Riverfront Playhouse, 11 & 13 S. Water St Mall, Aurora, IL

5-7 PM – Stonewall: The First and Next 50 – A moderated panel discussion on the LGBTQ+ movement in the 50 years since the Stonewall Uprising and hopes for the next 50 year. Free admission and open to the public.

Location: Waubonsee Community College, 18 S. River St., Aurora, IL

8-10 PM – OUTspoken – The award winning LGBTQ+ storytelling group out of Chicago comes to the suburbs for the first time with stories, musings and comedy. Free admission and open to the adult public.

Location: Ballydoyle Irish Pub, 28 E. New York St., Aurora, IL
