SPRINGFIELD — The Illinois House of Representatives passed a bill that would protect LGBTQ seniors on Tuesday, May 21.

Equality Illinois (EI), one of the organizations backing the bill, announced the passage on their Facebook page.

It was passed out of committee earlier this month.

EI thanked St. Sen. Ram Villivalam and St. Rep. Theresa Mah , the sponsors of the legislation, and the other organizations supporting the bill, SAGE and Pride Action Tank.
