CHICAGO — The Brave Space Alliance is hosting another pop-up QT Shop at their location on Chicago’s South Side on July 18.

From the Facebook event:

We acknowledge the struggles of meeting basic needs within the LGBTQ+ specifically among Black, Brown, & Indigenous individuals of the community. With the lack of investment, jobs, and opportunities for financial stability and self-empowerment, Brave Space Alliance wants to start providing spaces for us to gather and meet those needs on the most basic and efficient level that we can: grassroots. Every month we will hold a pop-up on the South Side of Chicago. We ask for new/gently used donations for the summer from the Chicago land Area. If you wouldn’t wear it or give it to your best friend to borrow, then don’t give it to us. All toiletries and underwear must be new. We have very high standards because we want everyone to come out of our shop satisfied and feeling themselves. All leftover clothing will be donated to other mutual aid clothing drives and community organizations. items needed:

Summer/Business Clothing
Short sleeve shirts of all sizes
Shorts of all sizes
Jeans of all sizes
Business casual clothing
New socks in packs unopened
New underwear in unopened packs

Pads/Tampons Any items on this list for donations can be dropped off at our 79th St office on July 11th from 11 am to 4pm.

The BSA offices are at 2747 W. 79th St. in Chicago.
