DALLAS — Dallas police announced late Wednesday night that they had arrested a man in connection with three murders, including that of Muhlaysia Booker.
In an online press release, police said they’d arrested Kendrell Lavar Lyles, 34, for the murder of Booker and two other women. The release did not release any details of the other women. He had been arrested on June 5 for suspicion in the other murders but details connecting him to Booker came up during investigation.
The release said that a witness had called in a tip that lead to the arrest. During the investigation of the two other murders, according to the Dallas police, investigators recognized that Lyles had been driving the same car that was described picking up Booker before her death. Cell phone records also put him in the area where Booker had last been seen and was found after she was killed.
