BLOOMINGTON — Illinois State University alumni Dave Bentlin and Barb Dallinger will speaking about the LGBTQ+ Support Fund on Friday, Sept. 6, at the Bone Student Center.
An announcement from ISU said that the event starts at 4:30 p.m. in the Founders Suite.
Bentlin and Dallinger will speak on the LGBTQ+ Student Support Fund that provides emergency financial assistance for students who lose the financial support of their family due to their sexual orientation and/or gender identity.
All faculty, staff, annuitants, and ISU community members are welcome to attend the University Club from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Friday in the Founders Suite of the Bone Student Center. The campus community is invited.
The LGBTQ+ Support Fund received attention recently after WGLT, an NPR station in the Bloomington/Normal area, reported about an increase in calls for help by LGBTQ students.
