CEDAR RAPIDS — Democratic presidential candidates Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg will be joining the LGBTQ presidential forum in Cedar Rapids on Sept. 20.

The Advocate, one of the sponsors of the forum, announced the additions on Monday.

“I’m honored to be a part of this forum and fight for our values,” Sen. Warren told The Advocate. “Everyone should be free to be who they are and love who they love without violence or fear for their life.”

Forum is being hosted by One Iowa, the state LGBTQ rights group; The Gazette of Cedar Rapids; and The Advocate.
