Bolingbrook Pride to host LGBTQ Friendsgiving Dinner

BOLINGBROOK — Bolingbrook Pride will host a Thanksgiving dinner for the community on Saturday, Nov. 16.

From the Facebook event:

Join us November 16 for a FREE Family LGBTQ Thanksgiving Celebration in the Bolingbrook/Romeoville Area! Come for support, to support, or just for a yummy meal with friends and family.

-This is a safe and welcoming Thanksgiving holiday for those who need a place to be themselves and share a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

-All are invited to come whether you’re LGBTQ or an ally.

-No photographs will be allowed without consent so this will truly be a safe place to go and be out if you can’t be that with your family.

Please pre-register, and indicate whether you are able to bring a dish to pass by adding a comment. The main course is provided by Bolingbrook Pride (Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, and Vegan Main) but all the sides are brought by our family (that’s you). Food should be labeled with any allergens so that everyone can safely partake in the feast. If you are unable to bring food please consider a monetary donation if you are able. Neither is a requirement but either or both would be appreciated.

Please also comment if you have any food restrictions or allergies (please understand we will do our best to ensure all food is labeled but cannot be held responsible for cross-contamination).

This event will be alcohol-free and kid-friendly. Please join us!

The dinner will be at 900 Romeo Road in Romeoville. Tickets are available on the Facebook event page.
