Peoria World AIDS Day

Please join us Saturday, November 30th in recognition of World AIDS Day to help us remember our past, celebrate our present, and recognize how far we have yet to go.

Doors open at 11 a.m. at the George Washington Carver Center.

Snacks, Drinks, and Guest Speakers.

This is a family friendly event that not only provides a safe space for our entire community to remember the history of HIV and all those beautiful lives we’ve lost. It’s to celebrate how far we have gotten in the world of HIV. And to re energize our community to help us in our joint efforts of Getting To Zero. Together we can get to zero new HIV diagnosis.

World AIDS Day Memorial Service

AIDS Memorial Labyrinth, Lincoln Park, Springfield

Sunday, Dec. 1, 2 p.m.

First Church of the Brethren, Fifth Street Renaissance/SARA Center, Heartland MCC, Phoenix Center, and CORAL will present a memorial service on December 1, World AIDS Day, at 2pm. The event will take place at the AIDS Memorial Labyrinth in Lincoln Park, east of Nelson Center. The Service of Remembrance will include interfaith prayer(s), reading(s), and a reading of names of souls lost to this horrible disease.

This event will be held rain or shine! Tents and chairs will be provided.

BloNo World AIDS Day

Monday, Dec. 2, 5:30 p.m.

Join us on December 2nd at HyVee, 1403 N Veterans Pkwy, in the parking lot as Bruce Lang leads a memorial and remembrance as we gather for the lighting of the tree tradition.

Directly after the lighting of the tree, join us at The Bistro as we celebrate the present and recognize how far we have yet to go in the world of HIV.

Help us commemorate World AIDS Day. We will watch a short film about the history of HIV in Indiana and then watch a feature film.
