Women’s Center in Carbondale to present ‘The Vagina Monologues’

CARBONDALE — The Women’s Center is hosting benefit performances of “The Vagina Monologues” the weekend of Feb. 15-16.

The play, created by Eve Ensler in 1996, is based on interviews with real women. The monologues tell of women’s trauma, sexuality, triumph, anger, and joy. The show is performed annually as part of the global Vday Movement, which works to end violence against women. All proceeds from ticket and merchandise sales will be donated to The Women’s Center. For more information, visit vday.org or email the director, Emily Cook, at [email protected].

Tickets are still available. There will be two performance each day at The Varsity Center in Carbondale.

You can follow the event and get tickets at the Facebook event page.
