ACLU asking for participation in trans elder survey

NEW YORK — The American Civil Liberties Union is asking for people to participate in a survey to find the experiences of transgender elders.

“We have developed a questionnaire as part of our efforts to respond to the unique ways that discrimination impacts transgender elders in our community,” said on their website.”We want to hear from transgender people above the age of 50 about any experiences of anti-trans discrimination by providers of elder-specific care, services or accommodations.”

The questionnaire seeks information about the following topics:

(1) Background Information.

(2) Housing.
