CHAMPAIGN — The Uniting Pride Center of Champaign County’s Pride Youth Program is offering online resources for youth during the coronavirus pandemic.
From the Facebook post:
Hello Pride Program friends and partners,
I hope all of you are staying well and finding some small moments of joy during this difficult time! While Youth Services has closed our physical space for the time being, we will continue to offer virtual opportunities for LGBTQ+ youth to connect, build community, and support each other.
I know there are many of our youth who often rely on school-based and peer supports, and some of those may be lacking right now. I hope you will share these resources widely with any youth who could benefit. While we are adapting to our new virtual community, we may send more frequent communications to make sure everyone stays up to date.
Please see below for this week’s program offerings; RSVPs are *required* for all remote programming. We will be conducting all of our remote groups via Zoom, which is a pretty user friendly video software. Participants will need to download the app on a smartphone, tablet, or computer. You can always find the latest information about our programming, including RSVP links, online at http://bit.ly/prideeventsandinfo. Any questions or concerns about our new virtual community can be directed to me via email (Lizzy.Appleby@ysgn.org) or phone (847.724.2620 x121).

Sending warmth, care, and kindness to each of you,
Lizzy & the Pride Staff Team (Gus, Jess, and Carolina)
