ST. CHARLES, Mo. — Organizers of Pride in this city near St. Louis have pushed their event back to October 2020.
In a statement published on Boom.LGBT, Pride St. Charles said they rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020 at The Family Arena in St. Charles from 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. They will also not have a parade this year to focus their resources on the festival.
“The Board of Directors has been monitoring the current COVID-19 pandemic very closely,” Pride St. Charles said in the statement. “We must rely on the information available to us from national and state resources, and due to the current information available to us, we feel the most responsible course of action is to postpone our 2020 Pride festival. This was not a decision that was taken lightly. We know and understand the importance of Pride festivals to our community. We hope that by postponing the event to a later date that we can help ensure the safety and health of all attendees, vendors, and sponsors.”
They said that more information will be given to vendors and sponsors as the new date approaches but do welcome questions. Vendors may email email@example.com. Sponsors may email firstname.lastname@example.org.
