Pride Bunch held in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD — A Pride Bunch was held this past Sunday on East Adams Street in Springfield.

The brunch, involving Cafe Moxo and Buzz Bomb, wrapped up Pride Month in Springfield. Events like PrideFest were cancelled this year thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. But with the state going into Stage 4 of reopening, it was possible to have an outdoor brunch with social distancing.

The State Journal-Register reported that some of the other stores along Adams were selling Pride gear.

The brunch was hosted by the Phoenix Center and sponsored by Cafe Moxo, Buzz Bomb, the Illinois Times, 217FoodWeek and Land of Lincoln Drinking Trail.
