ST. LOUIS — PrideSTL, the organizers of St. Louis’s Pride celebrations, are reformatting their annual PrideFest to adapt to coronavirus restrictions.
The organization said that the City of St Louis Health Department is not allowing gatherings of more than 200 people during the COVID-19 pandemic. So this year PrideSTL is holding a Virtual PrideFest 2020.
Virtual PrideFest 2020 will be on Saturday, August 15, 2020, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The virtual event will have a local and national audience plus a global one because of PrideSTL’s membership in InterPride.
The 2020 theme will still be “We Are Family.” In a press release, the group said the theme “depicts the essence of solidarity and family that runs deep in our STL LGBTQIA+ Community.”
