ACLU of Illinois to hold interactive discussion in October

CHICAGO — The ACLU of Illinois will be holding an interactive discussion about their work together at the state and local level to protect civil liberties and civil rights.

Called Civil Liberties Across The State, the free virtual event will let people hear from ACLU leaders about federal and statewide civil liberties challenges – from reimagining the police to protecting personal privacy in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

There will also be breakout “rooms” to join in local discussions on advancing civil liberties in your communities, and a chance for participants from Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, Peoria, and Springfield to hear from local chapter leaders.

You can register to attend here.
