Southern Illinois to have a virtual Queermas


CARBONDALE — A trio of LGBTQ organizations in southern Illinois will be holding their annual Queermas event virtually this year.

Despite COVID-19 restrictions, we’re moving our annual celebration ONLINE this year via discord! Festivities will be held on Saturday, December 19th, 2020 from 6 pm to 10 pm over on our Discord server!

Come and join us – there’s going to be live entertainment from artists like Curt Wilson and Jenni from Jenni and the Housewives, a live holiday drag show featuring Southern Il Pride King Faim Lee Jewls, Holly Haliwell, Will Kummings, Korra DeVil, and MC Mistress of Ceremonies, Southern Il Pride Queen Blanche DuBois! There’ll also be games, movies, and so much more!

In addition to our virtual events, we’ll also be handing out 25 free meals from Cristaudo’s right before the festivities begin, as well as Queermas holiday cards! Pick up at Cristaudo’s between 12-2 to take home and heat for the event. If you live in Jackson, Williamson or Frankin County and have no way to pick up your meal, delivery arrangements can be made.
