Another Chicago-area church has LGBTQ Pride flagged torn down
LA GRANGE — The First Congregational Church of La Grange said this week their LGBTQ Pride flag was torn down and burned on Monday.
The church’s U.S. flag was also torn down. It’s the second church in the Chicago area to have its Pride flag stolen or damaged this week.
The church informed the community about the incident on their Facebook page. They said they had already replaced the flags and filed a police report.
Last week, the First United Methodists Church in Arlington Heights had their Pride flag stolen for the sixth time within the past half year.
Last month, the church also had its Black Lives Matter banners stolen and has had Pride flags shredded in the past.
