UP Center co-hosting “My Black Mental Health Matters: High School” next week


The UP Center of Champaign County will be co-hosting a session “My Black Mental Health Matters” next week with a focus on high school.

Join Uniting Pride, HITNHOMEBOY, C-UPHD, and various community advocates as they discuss mental health in Black communities. Topics will include mental health in youth, older adults, LGBTQ+ communities, folks with disabilities, and more.

The next episode in the series is titled “My Black Mental Health Matters: High School” moderated by Ayan Harris and the Involvement Youth Activism Network (IYAN). IYAN is a new group of innovative and inspiring young people in the Champaign-Urbana area that serves as a resource for High School students, and a hub for civic and community engagement. Join us!
