UIS gets new program coordinator of Gender and Sexuality Student Services

The University of Illinois-Springfield (UIS) got a new program coordinator of Gender and Sexuality Student Services (GSSS) this week.

According to the UIS Journal, Andrea Duvendack started in the position on Monday, Feb. 8. Duvendack recieved both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UIS.

GSSS provides education, advocacy, support, mentoring, and a safe space for LGBTQ students.

Before getting hired as the program coordinator, Duvendack was product and marketing manager at Duvey’s Treasures. She also worked with the GSSS as a graduate assistant.
