Pride flag flies over Illinois capitol again

The LGBTQ Pride flag is flying over the state capitol’s dome again this year.

This isn’t the first time the flag has flown over the the statehouse. The first was in 2019 when the governor’s office had asked Springfield’s Phoenix Center for a Pride flag to fly over the capitol.

Other state offices followed suit then. A quick drive through downtown Springfield didn’t show any other buildings flying the pride flag as of Wednesday evening.
