Admiral Rachel L. Levine, assistant secretary with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the head of the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) Commissioned Corps, is the keynote speaker for the 2021 Acorn Equality Family Fund Annual Family Breakfast.

Levine is the highest-ranking out transgender cabinet official ever and the first four-star military officer. Levine was sworn in as a four-star admiral for the USPHS on Oct. 19. She is also the first female four-star admiral ever. She was confirmed as the U.S. Asst. Secretary for Health on March 24.

The annual breakfast is when the Acorn Equality Fund awards scholarships to LGBTQ students and allies and is also the organization’s biggest annual fundraiser. In-person tickets are $35 each (or $280 for a table of 8) and quantities are limited. The virtual event allows unlimited capacity and accessibility for guests. The live stream will begin at 9:30 a.m. from the Embassy Suites and will conclude at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $15 each.
