LGBT Issues Town Hall with Equality Illinois, Peoria Proud


Peoria Proud and Equality Illinois are partnering with local LGBTQ advocates on a statewide campaign to help educate community leaders about the needs of the LGBTQ community and to organize for change.

As part of this education and outreach effort, Peoria Proud, as the local partner, will host its annual LGBTQ+ Town Hall with local public officials on Thursday, April 21. The event will be virtual.
Equality Illinois and Peoria Proud would like to extend an invitation every to attend and learn about issues of importance to LGBTQ constituents.

The town hall is at 6:00-7:30 p.m.

This is a nonpartisan, education event. The event will not include any endorsements or political activity. Peoria Proud is also inviting the Peoria mayor and local elected officials including the School Board presidents of Peoria, Dunlap and Pekin; and Peoria City Council members. All candidates for Peoria’s U.S. House seat have been invited.
