Joliet welcomed a new drop-in center for LGBTQ youth this week.
The center was opened with the cooperation of Joliet Pride Network, PFLAG Lockport-Homer Glen, Youth Outlook, and the Spanish Community Center.
Youth Outlook’s Nancy Mullen said that youth from two different schools attended. The opening also welcomed new volunteers, youth and a donor for the center.
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer at the center can apply at the youth-outlook.org website. They can also donate money there and earmark it for the Joliet drop-in center.
