The Western Illinois University Women’s Center, the Multicultural Center (MCC), and other groups have established Reproductive Rights Week, “Mind Your Own Uterus,” in reaction to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

“As a strong ally of our mission at the MCC, we are looking forward to presenting these events, especially during ‘My Body My Choice: Community Self Care Day, on Aug. 29,” noted Rocio Ayard Ochoa, MCC director. “For more than 36 years, the WIU Women’s Center has advocated for, and celebrated, women and the rights of women, and we will continue. We support the rights of women at WIU, and across the state, the nation and the world. We stand with, and for, choice and autonomy, including the choice for reproductive freedom and rights, and we will continue to fight for women’s equality, autonomy, access, and choice.”
