The PFLAG Northern Illinois Council is holding a one-day conference and fashion show in partnership with Howard Brown Health on Oct. 8.
The conference, called the Power of Advocacy, will be at FashionBar in Chicago’s Water Tower Place. The conference will go from 9:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
The cost of the conference is $10 and will include the conference itself, a fashion show, a continental breakfast and lunch. After the conference, FashionBar will present a designer preview runway show that attendees can watch for free.
Shui Sherard is the keynote speaker for the conference. She’ll be speaking on the Power of Advocacy and Allyship in a Time of Rising Intolerance.
Several speakers will be at the conference, which will also have a panel discussion, informational tables, and networking opportunities.
