Red ribbons, testing at Phoenix Center on World AIDS Day

The Phoenix Center, Springfield’s LGBTQ community center, is offering free HIV testing for World AIDS Day on Dec. 1.

The Phoenix Center, Springfield’s LGBTQ community center, is offering free HIV testing for World AIDS Day on Dec. 1.

The center will also be putting up a tree that will have the names of individuals who lost their battle with HIV/AIDS and those who are living with HIV/AIDS. These names will be written on red ribbons and placed on the tree.

Testing will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Phoenix Center at 109 E. Lawrence Ave. in Springfield.
