Madison LGBTQ bar to host active shooter training


FIVE Nightclub in Madison, Wisc. will be hosting an active shooter training on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Have you ever wondered how to respond during an active shooter event? This two-hour training will help you develop the mental, physical and emotional skills critical to an effective response.

The LGBTQ bar announced the training on Monday, just over a week after the shooting at Club Q in Colorado Springs and a couple of days after the Department of Homeland Security sent an alert about possible attacks on LGBTQ and Jewish spaces.

The training will be between 1 and 3 p.m. Water and soda will be provided, but no alcohol will be available during the seminar.
