Community Choices is creating two new support groups in for the LGBTQ community in partnership with the Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities and the Illinois Self Advocacy Alliance.

The are looking for LGBTQ people to help plan group curriculum. One group will focus on autistic and neurodiverse people and the other will focus on LGBTQ people with developmental disabilities. Volunteers must be LGBTQ and identifying with the disabilities is preferred. They’ll need to be available for Zoom meetings twice a month and devote a couple of hours per week outside of the meetings. They start in January 2023.
