Peoria police looking for Planned Parenthood clinic suspect

Police are asking for help identifying who started a fired at the Planned Parenthood Peoria Health Center on Sunday night.

Jennifer Welch, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Illinois, said that on Sunday, Jan. 15, the Peoria Planned Parenthood Health Center was vandalized when someone threw a fire accelerant through a window, causing a fire in the building. 

There were no injuries, but the clinic is closed. Planned Parenthood is directing patients to other clinics in the area. Damages are estimated to be around $150,000.

During the course of the investigation, a member of the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID) obtained video footage that identified a suspect vehicle.

The Peoria Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in locating the pictured truck.
