Naper Pride will be hosting their Second Annual Health and Resource Fair on Saturday, March 18, from 10 a.m to 2 p.m.
The Fair will be held at joint venues directly across the street from each other. Community United Methodist Church, and First Congregational UCC, are both graciously giving space for vendors. The address is 20 Center Street in Naperville. Volunteer marshals will be available to help direct visitors, and vendors to parking and check-in. There will be multiple speakers throughout the day, with topics ranging from Urology for Gay and Bisexual Men, issues around Domestic Violence, to wellness in nature.
Some of the Event Sponsors are Northwestern medicine, Allstate Insurance, Aetna Health Insurance, Oak Dermatology and Oswald’s Pharmacy. Vendors include: The YMCA, LWV, Naperville Historical Society, Dupage County Health Department, Naperville Library, and many more!
“This is my favorite event of the year.” says Andi Dempsey, Naper Pride co-founder and health and wellness director. “While Pride Fest is fun and important for our sense of community and our visibility in the community we live in, this event directly connects LGBTQ+ people with the resources they need for healthier, happier lives. Naper Pride is happy to host vendors who provide LGBTQ+ culturally competent care to our community.”
Some vendors will be providing services, like screenings, while others provide information about their services. It gives the vendors an opportunity to connect with people they want to serve, as well as a chance to network with each other.” Entrance to the Fair is free, and tabling is free for vendors. Tabling and sponsorship opportunities are open until all slots are filled, or until March 10. For more information, contact [email protected].
