Aurora LGBTQ advisory group holding first event this weekend

Money from the drag brunch goes to support the ACLU Drag Defense Fund.

AURORA – The Aurora LGBTQ Advisory Board will be having its first event, a drag brunch, on Saturday, July 15.

The advisory board was established last year to serve in an advisory capacity to the city concerning the needs of Aurora’s LGBTQ community among other things, including events in the city.

The Brunch & Divas will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at Altiro Drag Brunch as a celebration of International Drag Day.

Tickets are available at EventBrite for $10, which also covers mimosas. Altiro is at 1 S. Stolp Ave. in Aurora.

Half of all admissions, along with a matching donation, will go to the ACLU Drag Defense Fund.
