Gender & Trans* Identities: Safe Zone Advanced Session

Trans* people continuously face erasure and systemic oppression. This session helps participants develop self-awareness, increase cultural humility, and to think critically about their own assumptions and vulnerabilities as related to gender. Participants will learn about the gender binary construct, understand more affirming and current terms, become more aware of the expansive and personal nature of gender affirmation journeys, and consider the systemic and systematic barriers in our society. This session is recommended for any person wanting to grow their skills and knowledge in allyship to those with gender expansive identities. Participation counts towards Safe Zone membership.
