CHICAGO — Cook County Prosecutor Kim Foxx has started expunging more than 1,000 cannabis convictions.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Foxx stood before the circuit court’s chief judge and called for the vacation and expungement of 1,012 low-level, nonviolent convictions for possession of less than an ounce.
She told the newspaper that those granted relief would be notified by mail.
